From the past few recent years, it has been observed that the medium of designing a website is constantly been changing with every new technology introduced in this technological era. But the approach towards using these technologies are not completely right that end up in giving unsatisfactory result.

To get a perfectly designed website for your own purpose or to fulfill your client’s needs, you need to take care of few things during and after the development of the site. These can be explained in three phases;

First Phase
Web designing is not only about a collection of outstanding pictures like a photo album. But it is more like a book with plenty of relevant information. To get all the information conveniently, the website needs to have good navigation system. Yes, navigational tool is one of the most important tools to have your site turned user-friendly. A user should not face any difficulty if he/she wants to go from a crunchy image to the main body text or from logo to prime positioning statement. There are other elements like use of appropriate color, contrast, size and, right positioning of each design, by giving your attention on which you can achieve precedence. Every user moves from one spot to another while visiting a site with the help of navigation key. You can guide a user to use logo, heading, sub-heading, down or top button, menu button, site map or bread crumb tails, as navigational tools to have an easy mobility on the site from one place to another.

Second Phase
To fill every space and corner of your site with any stuff like ads, links, images or catchy texts is a wrong assumption. A user might not like these. A good web design is one that focuses on proper spacing to turn website more functional. A designer needs to focus on areas like;

There should be a proper gap between two lines, where the space should neither be too little nor too wide. Also, the text and images should be coded properly that they do not overlap each other. This causes users to leave from the site when they find something unreadable. Also, considering the typography of the text used in your website is must. Things like font sizes, font type, usage of colours, line length and paragraphing of the text leading to perfect spacing, should be given much attention. Another important area is to keep the text and other stuff aligned on a web page, which helps your website to be designed in more systematic and polished way.

Third and most important Phase
A website that is crisp and has consistency and clarity, is considered good and functional. To design the site with consistency is to follow a good set of CSS stylesheets. And when we talk about clarity in the website, we generally refer to the term- pixels. In CSS, everything should be pixel perfect, but same is not the case with Photoshop.

All in all, you need to give more emphasis on what people want from you, before, during or after the designing of your website. The best way to do is by listing out the tasks people generally visit sites for. Next step is to consider for the factors that would help them achieve these tasks. You may not believe to it, but considering on a every minute aspect of designing can do wonders for your site.
